Purpose
ACSIS respects donor privacy and uses donor information for legitimate organizational, financial, acknowledgment, compliance and communication purposes.
Principles
- Collect only information reasonably needed for donations, receipts, communications, stewardship or compliance.
- Do not sell donor contact information.
- Limit access to donor information to authorized organizational functions.
- Use secure third-party payment platforms for payment processing where applicable.
- Do not request or store full payment-card information on the ACSIS public website when a secure payment processor handles the transaction.
- Honor reasonable requests to update contact preferences or discontinue non-required communications.
- Retain records as needed for organizational, financial, legal or compliance purposes.
Third-Party Platforms
ACSIS currently links donors to established platforms such as PayPal, Givebutter and Zeffy. Those services operate under their own privacy and security terms.
